I am preparing a bill to petition the government to pass into law that will require drivers over the age of 50 to have a person in the car between the ages of sixteen and twenty-four to keep an eye on the elderly driver for the safety of all other motorist on the road.
Unfortunately when we pass the age of 50 we tend to loose our ability to concentrate, to differentiate between a red light and a green light as well as a sudden loss of depth perception which leads to a danger which surpasses that of your typical DUI offender.
This law would allow a younger person to supervise the elderly driver while allowing both parties to keep a sense of independence while achieving the adult supervision which will lead to safer roadways and lower insurance rates.
