Petition Against the Philadelphia Eagles
To/Against/For: Against the Philadelphia EaglesWe, the undersigned, request the Philadephia Eagles reconsider their choice of Michael Vick to join their team.
Mr. Vick's past conduct shows an utter disregard for decency and a respect for ALL life. The Philadelphia Eagles', as a football team, have a responsibility to encourage proper conduct in both its players and fans; the players themselves, as prominent figures and often as role models to young adults and children, have the opportunity to promote responsible behavior, including the respect for life and the importance of humane treatment to everyone - a task at which Mr. Vick failed terribly. The Eagles' choice to associate themselves with Mr. Vick sends an extremely negative message to everyone and shows a great lack of ethicality.
To the Eagles: We urge you to reconsider your choice of Mr. Vick - as an NFL team, you have the opportunity right now to send a positive message to your fans and to the world: unethical and inhumane behavior will NEVER be tolerated.
You have the choice - do the right thing.
