Reinstatement of UUR President Malcolm Harris
To/Against/For: UUR President Malcolm HarrisWe, the members of UUR, believe that our employer, SEIU, should be an
example for all other employers in how it treats its employees.
Instead, we have recently seen some examples of ways in which SEIU has
taken actions which we believe to be the exact opposite of what a truly
good employer would do in similar situations.
Specifically, we believe that SEIU intentionally took advantage of UUR
President Malcolm Harris\'s medical leave to unfairly terminate him. We
call on the leadership of SEIU to immediately reinstate Malcolm Harris and to thereby show
all SEIU employees how a truly good employer acts in situations like these.
