The Jerry Spaulding Jr's right to No Fear Treatment
To/Against/For: No Fear Treatment for possible overdose victimsJerry Spaulding Jr recently passed away due to an overdose. His life could have been saved if his friend would only have taken him to the emergency room instead of taking him somewhere else.
In his memory, his family and friends would like to propose a federal law be created which would grant anyone the right to seek treatment for possible overdose victims without the fear of prosecution themselves.
The Jerry Spaulding Jr's No Fear Treatment Law
This law would grant anyone the right to take a suspected overdose victim to any emergency room for treatment without fear of prosecution.
Many overdose victims have been left beside the road or thrown out in a remote area to die alone because their so called friends or aquantances were afraid to take them to the nearest hospital for treatment. The fear of being arrested themselves was greater than their love for the victim.
This could all be avoided and many lives could be saved if a No Fear Treatment Law was enacted.
There is alot of time and effort put into creating a new federal law but with your support it can be done.
Signing this petition will let the friends and family members of all overdose victims know that their loved ones death was not in vain and that in the future there will be a law to protect others from the heartbreak they have suffered.
