IN CASE YOU DID NOT KNOW... The City of Welland Ontario is currently trying to QUIETLY pass a By-Law 4530 to provide for licensing, regulating and governing of business of residential rental units within the City of Welland that will seriously hurt all TENANTS and LANDLORDSin Welland. That's right I said QUIETLY... because they DO NOT WANT YOU TO KNOW ... until it's to late!!
The undersigned oppose the City of Welland's current amendment, or draft of the by-law 4530 to provide for the licensing , regulating and governing of business of residential rental units with in the City of Welland.
While landlords and tenants both want to maintain safe, healthy and favorable conditions where their leasing properties and communities are concerned, there are several areas, in which this by-law has not considered. We the people demand that by-law 4530 be terminated due to the social and economic consequences that this by-law will cause with in the City of Welland.
WHO will be Affected?
TENANTS - rent will increase significantly
LANDLORDS - your costs will increase significantly
HOME OWNERS/ Residents of Welland - your homes will DECREASE in value - yes... that's right YOUR biggest asset will LOSE VALUE.
BUSINESSES - you will make less money- tenants and landlords will SIGNIFICANTLY increased costs... so there will be less money to spend in your stores.
WHEN is the next meeting? WEDNESDAY JUNE 23 is the FINAL MEETING. Bring every one you can this is very important!!!!
