Stiff penalties for drunk drivers
To/Against/For: Drunk drivers causing deathNumber of signatures required(target): 5000
I would like to see the Alberta Government set a precedence by handing down a life-time driving ban-Canada wide to any person convicted of impaired driving causing death. This is a crime that seems to be dealt with rather lightly in our court rooms. Driving is a priveledge-not a right. I emplore you to help me to persuade the justice system to hand down stiffer penalties for convicted people of this crime. Thank you for your participation in this petition.

Human life has become almost expendable, you recieved harsher punishment for harming animals . We need stiffer penalties not just a slap on the wrist, too many people are losing their lives.My husband's father was killed in 1985, age 49, and the guy just received a small fine no jail time,no loss of his licence...it was absolutely ridiculous! How many young kids. mothers, fathers have to die till we smarten up and make this a serious crime |
