tampax vs. terry\'s plumbing
To/Against/For: sexismi believe that tampax may have a lawsuit on their hands against a plumbing company in pittsburgh called \"terry\'s plumbing,\" whose slogan is \"don\'t go to bed with that drip tonight\".
i believe that this was originally the slogan for tampax, i think i remember hearing it on the radio in the 1980s. i want to write to tampax and let them know that someone is using their slogan without permission.
now, with \"don\'t go to bed with that drip tonight\" being directed at men in hopes they\'d buy tampax tampons to plug the blood-leak of their significant other, i understand why the slogan was scrapped for less-insulting propaganda such as \"a woman can do anything a man can do\". therefore, i can understand why the slogan was so easily lifted by the aforementioned pittsburgh plumbing company, why no lawsuits were filed by tampax. maybe tampax wanted to distance themselves from their previous slogan in an effort to have what may be seen as sexism be forgotten about. that is not necessary anymore.
i believe that now is the time to sue terry\'s plumbing for their misuse of an old tampax slogan. i believe this because now is the time when women are regarded as strong, despite the size of the free-weights at curves fitness centers, and i believe that with one section of mister rogers\' neighborhood being allotted to women whose physical strength is as apparent as a homosexual\'s gender-identity - namely, the land of make-believe - women would be secure enough not to let the apparent \"body designed for motherhood\" aspect of femininity get in the way of their \"anything a man can do\" self-image. therefore, i believe that womens\' reliance on tampons, as well as their reliance on \"fitness for women\" centers and separate divisions in the coney island hot dog eating competition, would not be regarded by Strongwoman as self-ridicule.
i believe that it\'s time to sue terry\'s plumbing for their past insensitivities and their past humiliation of Strongwoman. their slogan being \"don\'t go to bed with that drip tonight\" is just putting women in a humiliating light which shines a light on PINK - namely, the drip of red blood downstairs and white milk upstairs. drip, drip, drip.
i firmly believe that, despite Strongwoman\'s drips, a woman can do anything a man can do. i believe that, despite the drips that terry\'s plumbing once ridiculed, the female soldier is useful. i believe in the female soldier without question...despite the military\'s lesser-made/gender-based physical requirements, despite the \"all for one, one for all\" aspect of the military being \"all shot to shit\" with females\' need for privacy and `the costly gender-based barracks. i believe in the usefulness of Strongwoman as a soldier, even despite the cost of the implementation of the \"womancare\" medical divisions which deal solely with - let\'s just call them \"the cadets of high-maintenance\". i believe that womens\' bloody vaginas have their place in the military, and i urge the military to continue to use the bloody vagina as a decoy to fool the enemy into assuming triumph and letting their guard down long enough to be defeated by the woman who they thought was spilling blood and dying but who was only spilling blood and menstruating.
lastly, i believe tampax should sue terry\'s plumbing for misuse of their slogan \"don\'t go to bed with that drip tonight\".
