Administrative Reforms in India
To/Against/For: Government of IndiaMore than Administrative Reforms, what we need is Administrative Overhaul. A total overhaul of our administrative structure, systems and procedures, distinctly different from the Tottenham system of administration followed by the Britishers and continued till date, which is more procedure oriented than result oriented. It is no longer seen to be citizen friendly.
With the advent of ICT Tools, e-Administration e-Platform for e-Governance, must be made a way of life for Government to Citizen (G2C) and Government to Government (G2G) communications / transactions. All communications / transactions must be made transparent on the web for all to see. This would reduce red tapism and curb the malaise of corruption plaguing our system.
Introduction of multi purpose biometric smart card would give credibility to the transactions and non repudiation as envisaged in the IT Act.
