Privatize Social Security

Our Social Security System is broken and Congress seems to be ignoring the problem. Our current Social Security system, it has been estimated, will begin operating with a deficit by the year 2017. Since inception, 1935, the social security system has taken in more money than it has spent. That is the good news. The bad news is the fact that the government "borrows" any extra money that is in the social security fund in order to pay for other government projects. When the social secrity fund begins to operate in the red, the government will have two options available to them in order to preserve the system. They will either lower the benfits that current retirees receive or the will RAISE OUR SOCIAL SECURITY TAXES in order to pay back this "borrowed" money. That's right, they borrowed our money and will try to make us pay it back. Tell congress that we do not want lowered benefits or HIGHER TAXES. TELL THEM TO PRIVATIZE OUR SOCIAL SECURITY!! Once we obtain 1000 signatures, we will send this petition to the Senate Majority and Minority Leaders as well as the Speaker of the House!
