| Belinda M Mayer | Those of us who are disabled seniors, live far below the poverty level, and live independantly desperately need this service. At times of need we must know there are reliable, viable options available to assist us in our daily living requirements. Decreasing the funding for HCBS will only create a situation where other programs will have to expend more resources to provide this assistance. It makes zero sense to decrease funding for a program when it will increase the cost of funding other programs to pick up where HCBS can no longer afford to help. This is another primary example of government waste of tax payer money in trying to fix something that already works. If our legislator's want to cut funding they should start with their own salaries first. Perhaps then we would take their desire to truily help those in need and the people of Arizona seriousily. Until then it is the same old, same old, do as I say, not as I do government mentality. |
