Why create petitions?
The term 'petition' refers to a request in the legal profession. It is usually directed to a court or administrative tribunal seeking some sort of relief such as the court order. Petitions were often created as a form of orders or requests to the British House of the Commons in the 18th and the 19th centuries. These are forms of presenting your requests to the authority and thus this explains the logic behind the creation of petitions.
There are often questions that arise in our minds as to why should one create petitions? The simple answer to this is that a petition is created simply to get your voice heard. As a result of which it allows others who agree with your standpoint and argument to stand by your side and join hands with you.
A petition can be in the form of legal pleading. Usually a case gets lost in the crowd but petition can be created and thus can initiate the case to be heard before the court. In case for the custody of a child or for probation of a will petitions can be created. These are the places where there arises the need for creating the petition. It is a mean of social action. It can be used against political injustices or as against the corruption that is growing or bringing into attention various such issues in the forefront.
A petition is created to act for the betterment of public by showing necessary changes of the various outdated laws that are causing a burden to the society. A petition can also speak for or against the various issues related to our daily life like schools, colleges, offices etc. Even if you are in the minority the petitions open the scope for you to be heard amongst the odds and you can thus go on adding the reasons as to why should one create petitions
